Liddia Nie- Club Director, 12 Elite Head Coach, Positionals Coach

Coach Liddia is our Maverick Club director, one of our passing positional coaches, and our 12 Elite coach. This will be her 3rd year with Maverick, and 5th year coaching club volleyball. She has coached ages 11-17 ranging in skill from CYO to Elite level volleyball. She assisted 11 Elite at AAU Nationals this year to a Sapphire championship.  Liddia’s free time often consists of watching her sister-in-law, Anna, play D1 volleyball for Oakland University or playing with her two dogs, Maya and Marley. Liddia is a 5th grade intervention specialist and loves to combine her teaching career skills with volleyball knowledge to help her athletes succeed.

ashley richardson - 12 national head coach

Ashley Richardson played volleyball at The University of Akron where she was a middle blocker. While at Akron, she helped run the summer youth volleyball camps. Since graduating in 2020, she has coached the JV team at Chippewa High School and the freshman team at Brecksville Broadview Heights High School. She is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and does strength and conditioning training with athletes. This is Ashley’s first year coaching club at Maverick. She played 6 years of club herself including 4 trips to nationals. Ashley has enjoyed her experience playing volleyball and now is excited to help athletes grow their skills and enjoy their experience playing.

Tae has been playing volleyball for over 15 years, and is proud to be back at Maverick for another season, She also joined the coaching staff at Walsh Jesuit starting in the 2022 Season. She has coached many ages groups starting at 12's going all the way up to 16's. In addition, she played club volleyball for six years and feels those years have given her experiences that provide her with skills on how to be a dedicated coach of the sport. Tae is a coach who strives to be positive and make an impact on the lives of her players. She encourages them to excel on and off the court. She chooses to coach to help the children learn and perfect the basic fundamentals, be part of a family environment, while also guiding them to success. she believes that she can help young adults develop a love for sport and create an impact on them to follow their dreams no matter what they may be.

Jason Bednar - Player Development Director, 14 Elite Head Coach, Positionals Coach

Coach Jason is going into his 6th year coaching Club Volleyball. He has coached 11s-14s ranging in skill from Regional to National(Elite) levels including 5 years of coaching experience with Kenston Rec Volleyball. Jason also has had 25 years experience of coaching both high school and college football. Jason has two daughters that played Club Volleyball Maddie graduated from Baldwin Wallace University where she played volleyball and now attends Miami University for graduate school. Abby, who played on a National (Elite) team from 11 through 18s, is a Senior at the University of Southern Indiana where she plays volleyball. After graduating in December, Abby will be his assistant.

kyra coundourides - 18 elite head coach

Kyra Coundourides is the 18 Elite head coach with Maverick Volleyball Club. Kyra grew up around the sport of volleyball. She played on her first club team at the age of 6 and began coaching private lessons at the age of 16. She saw great success in her high school and club careers, capturing a USA Volleyball National Championship Runner-Up finish, being named to the Prep Volleyball Top 100 National Senior Aces list in her, and earning AVCA All-American honors. Kyra went on to earn a full athletic scholarship to Virginia Tech and Temple University, earning AAC All-Conference and CoSIDA Academic All-American honors during her time at Temple University. After graduating, Kyra was hired as the assistant coach for Baldwin Wallace University women’s program. She worked under Coach Scott Carter, with the team posting one of the most successful seasons in the program’s history. She also has experience coaching a girls 11U National team and a boys 14U Regional team. Along with her mother, Kyra has been organizing volleyball development camps for boys and girls for the past 5 years. She is currently the head women’s varsity volleyball coach at Walsh Jesuit High School, and coaches the 17U National team at Phoenix Boys Volleyball Club.


Karol and Stacy Coundourides - 10 Karol and 10 Stacy Head Coaches

Karol Coundourides is a 10U head coach with Maverick Volleyball Club. She has over 25 years of coaching experience. She is a member of the Baldwin Wallace University Alumni Athletics Association Hall of Fame, Magnificat Athletic Hall of Fame, and CYO Hall of Fame. Karol was a 4-year letterman in volleyball, basketball, and softball at Baldwin Wallace University, also earning 2 letters in track and field. She has been a CYO coach for over 20 years. Karol has been successfully coaching at the 10U age group for the past 10 years. Along with her daughter, she has been organizing volleyball development camps for boys and girls for the past 5 years. Karol has also been a coach for Phoenix Boys Volleyball Club since its first season.


Brooke Trzcinski - Strength and Conditioning Coordinator

Brooke graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine from The University of Virginia in 1999. While at VIrginia she worked closely with the Womens' Volleyball and Basketball programs as a student athletic trainer and went on to pass her Athletic Training Certification in 1999.  Brooke graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2002 and began her career at University Hospitals in Cleveland. In 2018 she opened her own business, Functional Sports Performance, where she helps athletes develop the strength, agility, speed and endurance needed for their sport while heavily focusing on injury prevention. 
Brooke is an Ohio OTATPT licensed physical therapist and holds personal training and performance enhancement specializations through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is CPR / AED and first aid certified and is VIRTUS trained through the Diocese of Cleveland. 
She played and coached club volleyball for Blue Ridge Juniors in Virginia with highlights of both playing in USAV Nationals during 16s and coaching her 14s team in USAV Nationals years later. 


caesar britten - strength and conditioning coach

Caesar is a highly trained athlete in Wushu (Kung-Fu) with 20 years of personal training experience.  As an elite athlete, Caesar has had the great experience of achieving Wushu Kung-Fu team gold and bronze in China.  He has trained celebrities and professional athletes in the NBA and MLB.
